I don’t expect the Eagles to win the division.
Heck, I don’t even expect the Eagles to win 9 games this season.
With a tough schedule this year featuring a west coast tour (at Seattle, Los Angeles and Kansas City) the Eagles may find themselves in the gutter once again in a tough NFC East.
The Dallas Cowboys are primed for another great season with the likes of Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliot having another year in the NFL behind that amazing offensive line.
In New York, the Giants are emphasizing offense by signing Brandon Marshall in the offseason and drafting tight end Evan Engram out of Ole Miss.
Finally, Washington may have seemed to have lost key players in Desean Jackson and Pierre Garcon, but the addition of Terrelle Pryor and multiple standouts including Jonathan Allen to the defense will make many reevaluate their opinion on this team.
All in all, the NFC East looks to be competitive once again and I don’t think there is one clear front runner at this point in the offseason.
The Eagles have surely upgraded with players like Alshon Jeffery, Torrey Smith, Timmy Jernigan, and Derrick Barnett but have the disadvantage of having a young team overall.
Hopefully this youth will lead to energized play by the team.
Doug Pederson has to start calling up some of his signature trick plays this year and show us why the Eagles think he is the coach of the future.
As for Carson Wentz…become the franchise quarterback we all know you can be man.
September will be upon us in no time.
Until then, Fly Eagles Fly.
